I loved creating this piece!
The harbour pulled me into its solid arms and allowed me to enjoy the view from beyond the walls in relative safety.
At the end of the day, I was reluctant to stop painting.
Leaving the studio door open gave me the opportunity for a glance or two as I walked past, and in the morning I flew like an iron filing towards a magnet to add another brush stroke, another small detail, until the once blank canvas was complete.
It started out as a challenge and ended up a labour of love.
